Mmmmm Sausage:) I loved this story! I still have no idea how to do this crap! I was successful at posting my own heading background. I'm not quite sure how to change the font and I am thinking I am going to make my own heading with paper and scan it on. We will see how that works?

I was too lazy to pull them up. Maybe I need to edit my post? But I don't think you sent me the one of Amos himself.

He does have a great voice. Thanks for the introduction.

I was able to attend the Nickel Creek concert and I have to say that that was worth every penny I paid to go. I imagine you felt the same way about "Famous Amos" Lee.

To this I can relate. I could probably do a bit better in the 'faith' department though...

What he'll probably remember most is that I wouldn't let him order sausage on the side because his order had already been turned in. That and he's notorious for ordering more than he can eat, costing me an arm and a leg. In hindsight, I should have gotten him the sausage:)

I can hear it ten years from now, "Mom, remember the time you drug me out to the Waffle House in the middle of the night and you wouldn't let me have any sausage..."

Moments like that are the memories we'll look back on with fondness tomorrow. I think it was a great idea to include the boy. He'll remember this for years to come.

As I made that last, brief comment, the words of this song came to mind. I thought I'd share...

Watercolor Ponies
Wayne Watson

There are watercolor ponies
On my refrigerator door
And the shape of something
I don't really recognize
Drawn by careful little fingers
And put proudly on display
A reminder to us all
Of how time flies

Seems an endless mound of laundry
And a stairway laced with toys
Gives a blow by blow
Reminder of the war
That we fight for their well-being
For their greater understanding
To impart a holy reverence
For the Lord

(chorus)
But, baby, what will we do
When it comes back to me an you?
They look a little less
Like little boys every day
Oh, the pleasure of watching
The children growing
Is mixed with a bitter cup
Of knowing the watercolor ponies
Will one day ride away

(bridge)
And the vision can get so narrow
As you view through your tiny world
And little victories can go by
With no applause
But in the greater evaluation
As they fly from your nest of love
May they mount up with wings
As eagles for His cause
(chorus)
