I wish I lived in the mountains! For some reason, I’m a mountain girl. Maybe it’s because the mountains are where my family roots come from. But for whatever reason, a visit to the mountains rejuvenates me like nothing else.

Here is a picture of my hubby and I standing on the balcony of a bread and breakfast I love staying at in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. I discovered this location several years ago when my cousin got married here. It was one of the best weekends of my life, even though I was going through a horrible divorce. For an entire weekend, my entire family (immediate and extended) filled the rooms of the Pines Country Inn. We sat around together and just talked and ate. It was so bittersweet, I always make it a point to stay there anytime I find a reason to go to the Asheville area. Every stay since has never been anything less than fabulous!
This weekend I got one of those opportunities. We were invited to attend a wedding in Fairview. I thought Chris and the kids were going to have to go without me because of the workload I’ve been under. But fortunately, I buckled down, put in several late nights, and I managed to meet a deadline at work, and finish two big papers for school. So, I got to go! And boy am I glad. This is a picture of the Pines Country Inn.

And here is a picture of the view from the house. This is also the spot my cousin stood when she said her vows. Breathtaking, huh?

Yep, I’m so moving to the mountains when I save enough money.
So, any donations to Elise’s mountain fund are greatly appreciated!
